All water systems are being required by the Environmental Protection Agency and the PA Department of Environmental Protection to create an inventory of our community's service line materials.
Currently, the Authority is identifying water service lines along Second Street in Schwenksville Borough.
**NOTICE**
To remain in compliance with state and federal drinking water regulations, the Schwenksville Borough Authority (SBA) will be performing excavations in sidewalks to expose and identify water service lines. When the material of a water service line is unknown, the Authority is required to expose and identify the line to verify that it is not made of lead.
Following the excavation, the affected sidewalk squares will be temporarily patched. Once all work is completed in the spring, the SBA will return to permanently restore the affected sidewalk areas.
